At times life can be hard; we all face disappointments, hurts, and hardships. Because we live in a fallen world, we live with the effects of our own sin and the sins of others, therefore we all experience hurt and wounds. These wounds leave emotional and mental scars on our soul. Unfortunately, time alone does not heal all wounds. We need God to heal our wounds; in order for him to do that we need to be willing to bring them to him.
We are all broken people and we believe the local church should be the place where we can work out our pain and disappointments. We believe God loves to heal. He is not an angry, distant God who abandons us in our suffering; rather, if we seek him, he reveals the deeper aspect of who he is through our trials.
God has provided us with the tools that we need for wholeness and healing. We believe to find the fullness of God’s intended freedom in our lives we need to understand what these tools are and apply them.
We believe to find the fullness of God’s freedom each of us needs to spend time in his presence seeking him to search our heart, surrender pains, fears and lies and receive his grace into the broken places. You can do this in your own time with God and you can benefit from doing this during a Freedom Prayer Session with our Freedom Ministry Team Members.
Please note sessions will not be available the following dates due to the holidays:
Labor Day | September 7
Thanksgiving | November 25-29
Christmas | December 21-Jan 1
We want to help you in this time of sorrow by assisting in funeral services for our members and their families.

Any of our trained volunteers can come sit with you in your hospital room, nursing facility, or home. Our Chaplains will pray with you and help point you to Jesus as you journey through hard times.
There are seasons in all our lives where we could benefit by talking through the complexities of life with someone else. WoodsEdge desires to provide our church family with the opportunity to discuss those challenges with biblically based trained Christian lay counselors. Lay Counselors do not take the place of a professional counselor; rather this is a place to seek resolution for issues before they become large and complex. The lay counselor team is a group of individuals who are gifted, trained and feel called to walk alongside the body of Christ during times of trial. Our lay counselors have completed in depth training and undergo continuing education and supervision. They will operate under the same code of ethics as professional counselor to ensure a safe and confidential environment.
Questions: or 281-290-4762
Cost is $20 for the first session, $10 for each subsequent session. These fees are not tax deductible and go to offset the cost of the lay counseling ministry.
