Fifty6 is a unique ministry at WoodsEdge for 5th and 6th graders where they are challenged to make their faith their own and grow in who they are in Christ. With engaging worship, games and small groups, Fifty6 is a fun environment where kids are able to develop friendships and deepen their relationship with the Lord.

Led by Fifty6 Pastor Shafer Hunt, programming usually takes place at the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services, as well as on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. during the prayer service. However, during COVID, all fifty6 programming is available online here.

We send out a Fifty6 Newsletter once or twice a month with upcoming events, important notices (such as cancellation due to extreme weather), what topic we are covering on Sunday morning, and more. Shafer Hunt serves as the pastor for Fifty6 and his wife, Hannah, is the admin. They have been part of Fifty6 for about five years and love working with this age group! They share a passion for missions, fun, camp, and coffee, and they love to see all of those incorporated into ministry. Shafer and Hannah have two little girls that you may see from time to time- three-year-old Evie and baby Finley.

iChoose

iChoose is our annual Fifty6 retreat where we leave from WoodsEdge and head to Pineywoods Camp in Woodlake, Texas. Filled with incredible activities such as zip-lining, a giant swing, canoeing, gaga ball, basketball, big group games, pillow fights and much more, this is a weekend where your student will make lasting memories. They will be challenged to see themselves as God sees them while listening to special speakers.  iChoose is always a highlight of the year!

Student Life Camp

We will be taking completed 4th through completed 6th graders to Waxahachie, Texas, for Student Life for Kids Camp. We will join other churches in the area for an exciting week filled with awesome programming, recreational time, water slides, engaging speakers and worship.

AMP'D

Twice a year (Fall and Spring) we take over the WoodsEdge student building and have a crazy game night we call AMP'D. Wacky group games abound in this incredibly fun-filled event, where students compete on teams for prizes in addition to eating pizza and listening to a short message.
